We are thinking of you....

Just wanted to let Kathy know that we are all thinking of her and to know that she is in our thoughts and prayers over the passing of her Mom on Monday.

If you need anything, you know we are here for you! I guess you get to join the "Orphan Club" with some of us now.

Paintballing for Jalen's Birthday

Here are some pictures of Jalen's paintball-birthday party. Some of his friends and some of McKenna's friends went to the indoor paintball place. They mostly played girls against boys....and the girls kicked butt! It was too dark for most of the pictures, but some turned out okay.

Piano

Jodi, I saw what you had done when we were down in October. It's going to look awesome. Can't wait to see the finished product! And kudos to you for having the ambition to do that!

Hello....

Mom was always going to refinish the piano, but she never did get around to finding somebody to do it. So when I inherited the piano, I stuck it in our garage for 5 years and let it sit there and I was always going to refinish it "one of these days." Well, "one of these days" came along and Scott put it on the forklift last October and brought it around to the big garage. I started sanding on it and got it about 35% done, but then Kaden got sick and it got pushed back into the corner and I hadn't touched it for almost 2-1/2 months. So last Saturday, I decided that I was going to get that piano all sanded if it killed me! I worked on it all day Saturday and I'm happy to report that I am ALMOST done sanding! I just got a few spots where I need to get and then I can start staining it! I'm so excited! I can't wait to finally be done with this project and get it in my house. It has been a thorn in my side for 5 years! Here are the "before" pictures and I can't wait to post the "after" pictures.

Last Friday night, Lacee got to tumble with her tumbling group at halftime at the Delta High boys basketball game. Gary & Sharlene aka Walker Lumber was the halftime $100 sponsor for the half court shot that night also.

Here are some pictures of Lacee's tumbling group:

In Remembrance.....

In Remembrance of Deputy Josie Greathouse Fox

Remember.....
Someone killed a policeman today
And a part of America died...
A piece of our country she swore to protect
Will be buried with her by her side.
The beat that she walked was a battlefield too,
Just as if she had gone off to war.
The flag of our nation will fly at half-mast
To her name they will add a gold star.
Yes, somebody killed a policeman today...
While we slept in comfort behind our locked doors.
This cop put her life on the line.
Now her ghost walks the beat on a dark city street,
And she stands at each new rookie's side.
She answered the call...of herself she gave all,
And a part of America died.

For family members that haven't heard this news, this Deputy was gunned down in Delta after stopping a car in a suspected drug deal. Her mom was Grandma's hair dresser for many years-(Friday, 10:00am appointment!) This has shocked our little community of Delta. She is a wife and mother of two kids. Josie was born and raised here and she will be missed.

Hug your kids and family everyday and tell them you love them. You just never know when the end will be here.

Pictures

Sharlene and I went out with the kids and took some pictures. Here are some of them:

Happy New Year 2010!

Can you believe it is 2010 already? Wow, where does the time go? It does go by faster and faster it seems.

The kids got out of school on the 18th of December this year. I'm pretty sure the teachers were glad, but us parents weren't! Two weeks out for Christmas vacation is a long time! Kaden went to a baseball camp on the 22nd and 23rd in Salt Lake. He really enjoyed it and said he learned alot. The cost of the camp - $75, two days without Kaden and Lacee fighting - priceless!

We had a great Christmas this year. Lacee came and woke us up at 7:15 and then went and woke up Jessica and Kaden. She was so excited! She is alot more fun on Christmas that the other two! She got a new bike, an Easy Bake Oven, a Barbie camper and a Baby Alive doll. Santa showed very poor judgement on the Baby Alive Doll! I don't know what he was thinking! I'll just blame it on a weak moment :) That doll pooped and peed all day! Thank goodness we are out of baby food and diapers! Jessica and Kaden were happy with their new phones, clothes and Wii games. Scott got a Garmin Nuvi navigator thing so he won't get lost anymore! We used it for the first time last night when we were coming home from Marysvale and it got us home!

Gary, Sharlene, Scott and I drove to Hoover's Grille in Marysvale last night for a New Year's Eve dinner. They had an all you can eat seafood buffet and prime rib dinner. It was so good and we all ate too much. We got home at 11:30 pm just in time to see the ball drop and welcome in 2010.

We haven't done much this vacation. Watched alot of movies at home and gone over to Nephi see the shows over there playing. We saw The Blindside, Alvin and the Chipmunks and Sherlock Holmes. The kids go back to school on the 5th. I think the kids are ready to go back to school, I know I'm ready for them to go back!

Best wishes for a Happy 2010!
