A New Adventure

Last night, I left my beautiful, talented daughter at her new home to start her new adventure in life.  It was SO hard leaving her there, but what a great opportunity she gets to have and experience.  I seriously have no idea how I made it down the freeway when I left!  Many tears were shed until I finally got a hold of myself and realized that this is a good thing!

May all your dreams and ambitions come true!  Love ya lots :)

More Football.....

I'm 3 games behind!  1st up was Taylorsville...a 5A school, but they beat us.  Kaden had a few good tackles.
One of Kaden's tackles
and he chased this guy down clear to the 2 yard line!

Final score was actually 26 to 12 because they scored a touchdown on the last play and I had already taken a picture of the scoreboard before they changed it.

Next up was Richfield, we were up 22 to 0 at halftime and they pulled all the starters out and Richfield came back and scored to make it 22-20, so the coaches put the starters back in and we held on and we ended up winning the game.

Waiting for the ball....
Got it....
Run, Forest, Run
and he gets tackled

Final Score
And then last night we played Carbon and we held them scoreless!

Kaden caught this pass....
But missed this one....

Final score was 34-0

Football in Park City

We traveled to Park City on the 8th to watch the kids play.  Delta played awesome and we won!  It's so much more fun to win.  Kaden scored his first touchdown of the year and had 2 interceptions.  That sounds impressive but Park City spent more time throwing to our team than they did their own so EVERYBODY had an interception!
Kaden started his run
Still running.....
 and running....
 TOUCHDOWN!!
 an interception
 Final Score 24-13
And then, Friday night Park City came to play Delta and Kaden got the tackle on the kick-off.  He is #15.

Delta JV vs Stansbury 9-1-11

We traveled to Stansbury Park on Thursday to watch the Delta JV team take on the Stansbury Stallions.  It was a hard hitting game.  Delta's injury report was 2 broken arms and 1 concussion - Kaden getting the concussion.  We got creamed 42-0, but the boys played a great game despite everything else that happened.   Kaden had a great game again.  When he got hurt, he was sandwiched between 2 Stansbury players and when he caught the ball, he immediately got hit hard.  They got him off the field and one of his coaches told him to spell his name backwards and he got the A and the K mixed up and his coach said, "Well, I can't spell my name backwards either, are ya going to be ok?"  They made him sit out the game Friday night in Delta.  They are taking concussions pretty serious these days, which I think is good.

This is a fumble recovery for Delta
1st broken arm - this kid ended up breaking both bones in his arm and had to have surgery the next day to put a plate in.  End of his football season this year.
2nd broken arm - one of our best running backs now out for the season
 Kaden deflecting a pass

Queens of Corn

So Shay and I decided we wanted to try freezing corn.  We went and bought 4 dozen ears of corn and Wa-La!  we have corn in the freezer :)  We had so much fun, we are going to do it again!
