Updates from the White House

May was a very busy month for us.

Durham had his 1st Communion on May 2nd. This was 27 years to the day Kevin had his! My mom came out to help celebrate and we had a really good time.

Mother's Day was really nice-the boys made me some really sweet cards and they were very nice to each other all day. I try to remember how sweet they can be, especially on the days that they aren't!

May 14th was Luke's 6th birthday. We had his party on Saturday with his friends from school. We moved the party indoors, but still had a great time. About a half hour before the party the skies opened up and it poured. I was so happy we weren't outside at the park! He had a Star Wars party and received lots of Legos. He was happy, but his brothers, not so much! One of the kids at the party gave us the gift that keeps on giving-a stomach virus!

Luke lost his first tooth a couple of weeks ago. We were at the Dell Diamond for a Round Rock Express baseball game and it was so wiggly it came right out! He was very excited! It's neat to look back at the pictures we took that night. Early in the game he has all his teeth, by the end he's sporting a gap-toothed smile!

School and sports are winding down. Durham still has some soccer games left; Luke's t-ball season is over. Luke ended the season with 5 game MVP balls, mostly for making plays as catcher. This is Durham's first season playing soccer and he really enjoys it. He has so much energy and endurance he makes running the field look easy!
I think I'm as ready as the kids for summer break to arrive. We have some activities scheduled already, but not nearly at the pace we have been keeping up with.

Baseball and Mother's Day

Gary and Scott relaxing in the shade. Where are me and Sharlene you ask? Getting lunch ready of course. Aren't we the greatest wives and mother's ever? Next time, we are sitting in the chairs and those two are cooking!

We drove up to Clay Springs on Sunday and had dinner and rode the Rhino's. We took pictures of the girl cousins! Lacee was all too happy to pose for pictures.

We finally got to go watch not one but two baseball games in nice warm weather! We drove to Beaver on Saturday and watched Kaden play ball and he is in a much better mood, even though they lost both games. Now they know what they need to work on. He played really well, got a hit every time he was up to bat, except for one walk. He pitched in the second game and did awesome. This weekend, we get to go to sunny St. George for 3 games. Yeah for warm weather :)

Crab Leg Fries

So today, I had to run over to Fillmore to our shop and get some parts for Scott and while I was waiting for them, we ran down to Arby's to get lunch. Apparently, Lacee has never seen curly fries before because when she got her kids meal with curly fries, she picked one up and said, "Why did you get me crab legs?" I was laughing so hard that I had tears running down my face! So from now on, curly fries are now known as "crab leg fries."

A week in the life of the Stephensen's

All right you guys, our life is pretty boring, so somebody else better be posting something soon or you are going to get really tired of me!!

What has been going on? Let's see. Kaden has yet to play a baseball game, yet getting plenty of practice time in, since the weather is warm and dry during the week and rainy on the weekends! He is getting a little antsy and I kinda feel sorry for the fella that gets his first few pitches, 'cuz he is going to have a lot of frustration built up if he doesn't get to play soon! I will post pictures just as soon as he plays, which according to the weather forecast, won't be this Saturday either!

Jessica has just been going to school and working on her tan. Counting the days until summer!

On Tuesday, April 28th, Gary and I rode up to Uncle John's funeral. It was good to see everybody on the Walker side and visit with them. Gary didn't go to the Walker reunion last August and had a good time visiting with everybody he hasn't seen. I had a flashback of when we were little and mom talked to everybody she could visit with. It was great to see and talk with Uncle Mel and Aunt Marylyn. She is the very last sibling left and we hope she sticks around with us for a long time yet!

After the funeral, we went to where Whitney works at Uinta Golf and took her to lunch with us. We went to lunch at "Pei Wei." Also, she is the #1 salesperson for Uinta Golf in the state right now! Isn't that awesome!! Way to go Whitney!!!

That night was Lacee's dance recital. She did really well. It is fun to watch her.
That is about all that is going on with us. What's going on with everybody else!! :)

It's a Sun Shiny Day :)

Hello all! Steve, Kathy, Bobi, Sharlene and I had a good visit with the family at Uncle Van's funeral. It is nice to visit with everybody, but I wish we could get together to have fun and not at a funeral. Uncle Van's family had a great service for him. It was all Uncle Van to a tee!

The sun is shining in Delta today. I am so happy! We are working in the yard today, getting it ready for our new deck and cleaning up the leftover cement from the big cement pour on Friday. My lawn is dead in a few places where Scott and Kaden keep driving the backhoe and skid steer over it, but hopefully in a few months it will look awesome!

Bobi and Brendan came down on Friday night. We stayed up till midnight and then those two little kids of ours were up bright and early Saturday morning! No sleeping in for us. We had to charge Lacee's jeep up so they could go drive it all over the neighborhood. They had a little problem with taking turns driving, but it all worked out in the end and they are still the best of friends! :)

Thanks for all the birthday wishes, also! I survived the week and life is good!
