Just Random Stuff
Yesterday me, Lacee, Sharlene, Shay and Holden ventured up north to do a little Christmas shopping. We had a fun day and I think we put a dent in our Christmas lists! Holden was the best baby and was soo good for being dragged in and out of his car seat a million times! We stopped at Taylor Andrews and Jessica waxed our eyebrows for us and then at 5:00 she got to come with us.
Saturday was also the day 8 years ago that Dad passed away. It's hard to believe 8 years has passed so quickly. The house has new owners and I'm so relieved that the house is going to come back to life again and maybe I can drive down that road again. I'm so happy and hopefully by spring it will have green grass and life again. I've missed seeing it that way.
Since Thanksgiving is this week, I just want to take a second to tell you all how thankful I am for our family. I couldn't have asked for better brothers and a sister, sister-in-laws, brother-in-law and all my nieces and nephews! This year could have been the worst year of my life, but ya know what? It's actually turning out to be one of the best and it's all because of my family. We all have each other's backs and I know that without the never ending support I have had this year, I wouldn't have made it through.
I'm thankful for our parents and even though they aren't here with us, I know that they are still with us. I miss them everyday.
I'm thankful for Jessica, who in two weeks graduates from something higher up than high school! Something that I have yet to accomplish! She is so good at what she does and I am looking forward to seeing what she is going to do with her life. She has been my rock this year, even though she has been through hell herself. I hope she will know someday how much I appreciate her and love her.
And Kaden.....somedays I think I'm going to beat him to death but then he does something so nice and so unexpected for me that I totally forget what I was mad about. He has been a trial of patience for me this year. But he has been my protector through all this and would do anything to help me out when I need it. He got into some trouble in September and thank goodness the juvenile probation officer realized that he wasn't a bad kid...just a really stupid kid hanging out with the wrong kids doing stupid stuff. I hope Kaden learned his lesson from that incident and won't be going down that path again.
I am so thankful everyday that I got Lacee. She has kept me going. I don't know what I would do without her. She is my little sidekick. She drives us all crazy at times, but life would be pretty boring without her.
Well, I will quit boring you all to death! I hope everybody has a fabulous Thanksgiving weekend and I wish we could all be together. I will post pictures later...I have a ton to put on here, I just haven't had time to do it yet!
