Copper

We had a great day of skiing today and even took Brendan for his first lessons. I will post pictures later. Everyone had a great time.

About a half hour after we got home, Copper came upstairs, laid down on the floor and passed away. He has had heart problems for several months and his heart just finally stopped beating. I'm grateful he waited until we got home and I'm so glad he went that way so I didn't have to make the decision to make it happen. Unfortunately, Mike wasn't here to tell him goodbye.
We will miss our dog that loved us so much and that has been a part of our lives for 15 years.

Reno Weekend, Part 1

Here are a few pictures from Aunt Shirl's funeral that we took and I wanted to get them on the blog so you all could see them. I will write more about our weekend in Reno, I just wanted to get these on for you all to see. Like Mom, Aunt Shirl saved every card she ever got from anybody and they had these all displayed on boards around the room where we went to have a luncheon after the funeral and while we were standing in line, I looked over and saw a card that said "To My Sister" on it, so I took it down and opened it up and it was from Mom. It brought me to tears I could hardly talk for a minute after that! It was a great weekend and I'm glad we went. More to come.....

What we've been up to....

Hello Family.....Here are a few pictures from the past weeks. Lacee and her little dance group danced at the boys basketball game on February 5th. They did really good and they are so cute!

Then she turned 6 six years old on February 6th! She talked me into letting her have a birthday party for 9 of her little girl friends from her class. We decorated princess hats and broke a pinata and played some other games. I said after last years party that we weren't doing a party ever again, but it must be the youngest child thing that she can talk me into anything???

She had a Hannah Montana cake this year and it was actually pretty good!

Cary and Jeri and their kids, Trevor and Kylee came down on Friday the 12th and they invited me and Lacee into the mexican restaurant to eat dinner with them and then we all went over to Steve and Kathy's house so the kids could run a little energy off and some of that sugar high from the Valentine's partys!

Trevor and KyleeThere was a TV on and it was on a mexican channel similar to MTV and these two were so enthralled by it..it was hilarious!! And also as you already probably know, Aunt Shirl passed away on February 5th at Laurie's house in Alaska. Our thoughts and prayers are with her family. The funeral is going to be on February 20th in Reno.
